Hillian-Sanders named national CLD Teacher of the Year

Brighton Elementary School’s Lenette Hillian-Sanders has been named one of just two national Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD) 2021 Teachers of the Year. Hillian-Sanders earned his honor after being named the Virginia Council for Learning Disabilities Teacher of the Year this past spring.

The administration and staff at Hodges Manor Elementary is committed to organizing and delivering classroom instruction that will maximize opportunities for educational success and at the same time, intellectually challenge each child.

We believe in:

  • Providing well defined, structured learning opportunities that address the various needs, talents, and interests of all children.
  • Maintaining a qualified instructional staff that is knowledgeable of the needs of children and in providing opportunities for staff to update this knowledge and strengthen instructional skills.
