PPS adopts new calendar; changes elementary school tiers for 2024-25 school year

At the Feb. 29 meeting of the School Board of the City of Portsmouth, the School Board voted to approve a school calendar with a pre-Labor Day start for the 2024-25 school year. This change was implemented to best align with neighboring school divisions in the region.

The administration and staff at Hodges Manor Elementary is committed to organizing and delivering classroom instruction that will maximize opportunities for educational success and at the same time, intellectually challenge each child.

We believe in:

  • Providing well defined, structured learning opportunities that address the various needs, talents, and interests of all children.
